New Issue of Shamanism Annual Journal Released

Issue 24, December 2011, of the Shamanism Annual is now available. Members of the Circle of the Foundation, look for your copy in the mail soon. This issue highlights Mongolian shamanism with articles by FSS Field Associates, who made two separate expeditions to Mongolia this year, and a discussion by anthropologist Dr. Frank Lipp of shaman-kings, using Mongolia as an example. In addition, there is a fascinating account by jaguar-shaman and FSS Living Treasure Mandu da Silva of his shamanic apprenticeship, told in his own words. The telling is from FSS Field Associate Dr. Robin Wright’s new book, Mysteries of the Jaguar Shamans of the Northwest Amazon, scheduled for release in the Spring of 2013 by the University of Nebraska Press.
