SHAMANIC INNOVATIONS
Post-Graduate Healing Practices for FSS Three-Year Program Graduates
with Alicia L. Gates May 23 - 28, 2010 Madison, Virginia
“We worked with very effective advanced shamanic methods that helped me so much in my healing practice. I was able to access more deeply the power of my helping spirits and to use this power right away to help in healing my shamanic clients. It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends and be able to sit in a circle of such advanced and experienced healers.” – Participants in the July 2004 workshop
In addition to renewing some of the Three Year practices, Alicia Gates will introduce shamanic healing practices, based in Core Shamanism, which she has received from the spirits and has developed in her years of healing practice with thousands of individuals and with groups. These methods of working with your spirits enable you to access, contain, recognize, and utilize far more of the spirits’ power, while working not only with individuals but with groups. This is also a rare opportunity to work in circle with graduates of the Three-Year Programs.
This residential program will be held at an idyllic retreat center. On-site lodging and meals will be arranged during registration. PREREQUISITE: Completion of the FSS Three-Year Program in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing.
Please note that on rare occasions the dates and locations of listed programs may change, depending upon the availability of facilities and faculty. FSS reserves the right to change or cancel any program if necessary. In such cases, enrolled participants will be notified promptly and deposits refunded or applied to another program. |

Workshops in Other Languages
All Foundation workshops and training programs are offered for teaching purposes only and not for the purposes of providing healing or treating any student or participant for any physical or mental condition or illness. *All workshops are part of the core shamanism program, and were originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner and are copyrighted, except for the five-day version Soul Retrieval Training and those listed under Shamanic Innovations. Core shamanism consists of the universal or near-universal principles and practices of shamanism not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective, as originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner. Since the West overwhelmingly lost its shamanic knowledge centuries ago due to religious oppression, the Foundation’s programs in core shamanism are particularly intended for Westerners to reacquire access to their rightful spiritual heritage through quality workshops and training courses. Training in core shamanism includes teaching students to alter their consciousness through classic shamanic non-drug techniques such as repetitive drumming so that they can discover their own hidden spiritual resources, transform their lives, and learn how to help others. Core shamanism does not focus on ceremonies, such as those of Native Americans, which are part of the work of medicine men and women, persons who do both shamanism and ceremonial work. |
