Reid Walkenhorst

Growing up in the Rocky Mountains and Great Basin region of Utah provided many opportunities for developing a kinship with our natural world. From a young age and throughout adolescence, nature was my closest companion. I dreamed of wilderness, fascinated by the plants and animals who called it home. In my college years I studied animal behavior, diet selection, geology and anthropology. So much to learn, so little time… For me, Shamanism allows for a deeper and meaningful understanding of existence and non-existence. The spiritual essence in all things is what I strive to see and understand. Working with and learning from the helping spirits has expanded my view and love for all of creation; past, present, and future. Although I’m still seeing through a microscope, each day my vision becomes broader and everything around me more beautiful.
