Kenny Emerson

Kenny Emerson

I began my studies in core shamanism with the Basic Workshop led by Michael Harner. I have twice completed the Two-Week Shamanic Healing Intensive™ with Alicia Gates; the Three-Year Program of Advanced Initiations in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing™ with Susan Mokelke, and Harner Shamanic Counseling™ with Sandra Harner.

I am a shamanic practitioner and teacher dedicated to helping people find peace, healing, and fulfillment using the ancient techniques of core shamanism.

For me personally, core shamanism literally saved my life. Where western medical methods could not cure me, core shamanism did. The story of my personal healing is included in Michael Harner's book Cave and Cosmos. I am convinced that for our world to survive it is imperative to bring this proven methodology back into the hearts and souls of the people. Only then can we begin to heal the wounds of our planet.

I have a shamanic practice in Saddlebrooke, Arizona where I offer the traditional shamanic healing methods of soul retrieval, power restoration, psychopomp, shamanic drumming for healing body and spirit, and clearing ceremonies for the home and land. I specialize in sound healing with drum, rattle, singing and flute.

What Kenny's students say:

This workshop was a fantastic introduction to shamanism. It was well paced and very informative and enjoyable. Kenny has an excellent way of presenting the material — very broad-based and all-inclusive. He made everyone feel welcome.

Kenny was very open, friendly, engaging and sensitive to the needs of the group. Knowledgeable. I felt like I was in good hands.

This (introductory) workshop was very positive and life changing. I will never be the same. I feel more connected to the earth and the animals of this world.

I am a former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service and retired from the U.S. Department of Defense as Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Seattle, WA.

I hold a Black Belt from the Ching Yi Kung Fu Association, Houston, Texas, and currently teach it in Tucson, Arizona.
