ADVANCED 5-DAY & LONGER WORKSHOPS

Michael Harner's
TWO-WEEK SHAMANIC HEALING INTENSIVE™

"The course is brilliantly designed. Each tool was taught in a step-by-step way so I gained experience and confidence to undertake the healing work. The schedule worked well and the methodology was very eloquent and elegant." —Two-Week student

Originated and directed by Michael Harner and based upon his decades of research and experimentation, this residential program in advanced core shamanism is described by former participants as "transformative," "life-changing," and "the most important spiritual experience of my life."

A variety of advanced methods are practiced in this program, including extraction healing, core soul retrieval training, psychopomp work, divination, and work with the spirits of nature. There will also be work that is not included in FSS weekend workshops, such as selected advanced healing methods, the dream dance, explorations, and initiatory experiences. (This program does not duplicate Three-Year Program material nor include Shamanic Counseling Training.)

Prerequisite: the FSS Basic Workshop, The Way of the Shaman®, with an authorized FSS Faculty Member. Applicants who complete this Two-Week Shamanic Healing Intensive will receive special consideration when applying for Three-Year Programs in Advanced Initiations in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing.

The Two Week Intensive is not designed for people looking for personal healing.

The workshop is held at a retreat center; on-site lodging and meals will be arranged during registration.

Note: Those who successfully complete this workshop are entitled to receive the White Certificate of Completion, issued upon request by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. This workshop is one of the prerequisites to receive the FSS Silver and Gold Certificates of Completion.

All Foundation workshops and training programs are offered for teaching purposes only and not for the purposes of providing healing or treating any student or participant for any physical or mental condition or illness.

*All workshops are part of the core shamanism program, and were originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner and are copyrighted. Shamanic Training in Creativity™ was developed by Sandra Harner and is copyrighted.

Core shamanism consists of the universal, near-universal, and common features of shamanism, together with journeys to other worlds, a distinguishing feature of shamanism. As originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner, the principles of core shamanism are not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective. Since the West overwhelmingly lost its shamanic knowledge centuries ago due to religious oppression, the Foundation’s programs in core shamanism are particularly intended for Westerners to reacquire access to their rightful spiritual heritage through quality workshops and training courses. Training in core shamanism includes teaching students to alter their consciousness through classic shamanic non-drug techniques such as sonic driving, especially in the form of repetitive drumming, so that they can discover their own hidden spiritual resources, transform their lives, and learn how to help others. Core shamanism does not focus on ceremonies, such as those of Native American medicine men and women, persons who do both shamanism and ceremonial work.
